In a place where people suffered a devastating war that lasted longer than World War II, there are mainly two types of people: those who lost their lives, and those who lost their hope. In such a place we used basketball to bring light into the darkness, thereby creating perspectives and empowering young people. The world might have forgotten the tragedy in Syria, where young people struggle to lead a normal life which is taken for granted elsewhere. But we at Hirsch International don’t forget them and seek to provide support, especially in the area of youth empowerment.
